Strauss Industries is a West Virginia's oldest and largest metals recycler. We are the parent company and wholly-owned private management arm of the many operations that procure, salvage, process, recycle and distribute scrap metals and other materials.

We are a broker and sales agent, handling materials on a local, regional, national and international scope. We have a fleet of rental equipment that includes trucks, heavy construction and demolition equipment. It integrates and coordinates all arms of the business, including Herman Strauss Inc and Automatic Recycling.

Herman Strauss has two large nonferrous warehouses where aluminum, brass, copper, stainless, titanium and other metals are customized for specific markets. The firm operates three scrap yards that manage 160,000 tons of inventory. It boasts a fleet of tractor trailers and rolloff containers that exceed 200 units. Automatic Recycling is a proprietary system developed to fill a long-held need in the steel industry.
