  • Re: PET recycling machinery

    Many countries are recycling the bottles. You basically get a certain amount of money when you return a bottle to a store. I know of several countries that have around 95% recycling of bottles. This might be an idea for other countries, then at least we willnot be wasting so much.

  • Tyre recycling

    Hi there, I have been doing research on tyre recycling, and I believe there is a market for me in my local community. But there are many stories of equipment sold that does not withstand the hard requirements of processing tyres. I would like to get in contact with anyone out there that might have equipment to sell or ideas.

  • Tyre recycle plant

    Hi I have been interested in starting a tyre recycle plant, but I have read different case scenarios, some make it some just fail miserably. Seems like the most important aspect of this business is to get quality and durable equipment. Does anyone have knowledge or are specialized in selling equipment for this market, I would be very interested ...

  • Re: Summary of scrap terms and names - B & C

    That is quite an impressive list of distinction for copper. I guess many times we do not think of the magnitude of differences we are dealing with when it comes to classification of metal, and also the reason why the recycling business is not as straight forward as we would like.

  • Re: Paper mache

    I think that might be a good idea for someone that needs to make some extra money, or for a school to do some charity work. But I find there are a lot better uses for recycling news papers out there. Creating new paper out of the recycled news paper. But this requires enough people to recycle the papers, and this responsibility does not ...

  • Re: help1up ==> Furniture recycle/reuse

    I have always contacted my local Salvation Army, they are always looking for additional help. Many times they are supporting the very poor in either getting furnitor, or they are giving it to no profit organizations that do not have money and need assistance.

  • Re: Reusing old PCs

    This is a great way to make use of the old PCs. I had a 386 running a very old version of Red Hat linux distribution and it gave me enough power to run computations that I needed. But using it as a firewall is a great solution and can be very usefull for many people. Sure will try and look for one laying around and set it up.

  • Re: Recycling plastics into building blocks and pavers

    This sounds interesting. I cant find any information on this, but could you remember the company or on what channel this showed. This is a great idea in the general build book in Africa or eastern asia. It is great to assist in reduction of rubble and plastic in poorer countries to developed a sustainable development.

  • Re: Small scale ferrous metal recycling

    Yes it is true, the smaller one can go (and still have a profit) the more one can get done on grass root, and this is where one must start. If one starts small community organizations/companies, it is easier to have more people get serious about it.  In the past I had this linked i looked at some small scale (as well as large scale) ...

  • Re: What do you do with your old DVD player ?

    Lots of the things we through away people can make money on by salavaging the internal metal parts. But they need to have large quantities of them coming in. I know one company that strips old broken geysers. Some of the old ones can contain a large amount of copper. But they also strip cables, computers etc. Like i said this ...
