Recycling Plastic Bag Laws in California

The story can be read here: http://www.bizjournals.com/eastbay/stories/2007/07/02/daily9.html "The new law, AB 2449, requires drugstores and grocery stores of at least 10,000 square feet to offer at-store recycling programs for plastic bags. Some stores already had accepted the bags for recycling before the law went into effect." I think thats pretty good. I'm moving to California soon, but I'd with they'd do it here in Michigan too. Any opinions?

National Recycling Coalition Conference
